Meet Oliver Charles Albertus Davidson, born on Dec 4th 2000 in Mataram, Lombok, Indonesia. He has been in my care since he was 3 days old. I have taken full time care of him since he was one year old. Since his birth I have been attempting to become his legal guardian. The scenarios we have been through constitute the material for a short novel! He is now nearly eight years old and we have only recently obtained an Indonesian passport for him. To date we have been out of the country four times! Once to Singapore and three times to Australia. My biggest fear was that once he had a passport the Australian government would never ever grant a visa for him to enter Australia. I was once actually told that at the consulate in Bali - that, he would never get a visa to enter the country as he would be classified as an ineligable visitor. Well he got the visa and we went to Tasmania so he could be with his grandparents for the second time in his life. We arrived on Australian soil - July 3rd, 7.00am, 2007.
