These images are the first in a series of experiments with my Nikon D70 and a Hoya Infrared R72 filter. The camera was set to auto exposure and coped very well with the 'black' filter on the lens. The images were focused manually as obviously the autofocus was quite confused. Using Adobe Photoshop, the images were converted to grayscale and then contrast and brightness adjusted. Back in prehistoric times I used a gelatin filter mounted in a special holder that screwed onto the lens. It was nowhere near as successful as with the digital camera because exposure had to be a guess and you didn't get to see the results until after a session in the darkroom.
