This series of paintings are about flowers, painted on a black background. Some of the flora is real like the frangipani flowers which is in progress. Some of the flowers or fruit will be imagined. These paintings take ages to do and I use glazes and varnish on them.

These paintings are about leaving Tasmania and coming to live in Indonesia. Two remain unfinished to date.

My art work is done in spurts of frenzy that can have many months between sessions. With working a full-time job, it's hard to find time to just paint. I paint mostly at weekends. I have had long spells from painting over the past few years but am now back into it with zeal and enthusiasm. I have many oil painting projects going on at the same time. Most of these paintings are not finished and some have been sitting as drawings on canvas for over a year. The coastline landscapes and Bali shop front were drawn only recently. I am very interested in glazes and am experimenting using them to give my paintings depth and richness. On this page are the paintings I am currently working on and some that are finished.

These paintings are similar to the watercolour ones I do. They are painted on red ground with burnt umber lines. I like using this technique very much.

This series of paintings are from some of the patterns and decorative images I use in my watercolours.

Two drawings on canvas for two different series. The small one is from photographs along the coast line close to where I live. They will use the burnt umber line on a white ground technique. The larger drawing is from a photograph and this series is about shop fronts in Bali, Indonesia.
