For as long as I can remember I have painted and drawn purely for my own pleasure. I have had several exhibitions of work. "Swinging Blue Cats" in 1996, Launceston, Tasmania, was a joint exhibition of my paintings with another Tasmanian artist. This was a huge success, with most work being sold. The work I do is purely for my own pleasure. If someone likes a painting and wants to buy something that's fine, but it has nothing to do with why I create them. When I lived in Tasmania, what people thought about my paintings was of concern to me. Thankfully I have now reached the stage where I don't care at all what anyone thinks about my work. I have lots of different projects going on at the same time and have many unfinished pieces.
